Common Thai Massage

This is the most well known and practiced form of Thai massage. The peculiarity of this type and its subtypes is the close contact with the patient during the massage through the use of the thumbs, the surface of the palm and its base, the outer part of the wrists, elbows, forearms, knees and feet.

Royal Thai Massage

The peculiarity of this type of massage is that the masseur moves on his knees along the lying person, constantly keeping a one-foot distance from the patient’s body and the patient never rests on his stomach. The therapist uses only his hands, mainly his thumbs, and sometimes the outer part of the wrist, touching the patient by only the working surface of hands. The massage starts from the knees and goes up the legs, then to down to the feet. The streamer positions are not applied.
